Death to all spammers.

Apparently, AntiNormal got discovered by spammers recently. I was just browsing through the database today and noticed an impossibly huge number of comments. Turned out most of the comments were spam. There's no check for potential spam in the post comment system at the moment, so I have to take it down temporarily. Sorry for the inconvenience, folks. This will be fixed as soon as possible. Also, in other news unrelated to the abuse of AntiNormal, thanks to spammers, the host had to take a few extra measures for spam protection which has completely broken the pages in the archives. I'll see if I can implement a workaround for this. My verdict? Spammers should get maimed. And left to bleed to death.

The fifth edition of the GameDev.net Four Elements competition. I'm participating, and I hope that I can get a decent entry in. I set up a wiki on Rigid Games to document most of the things (if not all) that I intend to do with my entry. So far, I've got a story for the game. I'm still working on other details and will update the wiki as I make progress.

Moto4Lin, KMobileTools. I obtained a USB cable for my Motorola V220, and discovered that I had to pay quite a bit (which I didn't have) for BVRP's mobilePhone Tools. The tools above only work on Linux. Moto4Lin for transferring files, and KMobileTools for contacts and synchronisation. Although they're still pretty much in the beta stage, they're pretty solid and work very well. I haven't had any troubles whatsoever using them. Worth checking out.

Another great tool for Linux I found a few days ago is rdesktop. Accessing a Windows remote desktop from your Linux box. That's just sweet. Installed and tested it, and what do you know? It works flawlessly. I'm impressed.

In other news, work's been pretty good. And I've been good. Nothing seems to be going very wrong these days. At least, for now. Cheers!
