No Internet.

That's right. I won't be having an Internet connection at home until goodness knows when. We're trying to find a more reliable ISP. It'll take about, say, three, four, five weeks or thereabout. Might still be able to update my blog though. Wish me luck.

Major Downtime, Disaster
Posted 18 Nov 2005 by Akinwale Ariwodola
BroadPhase (my previous host) has disappeared off the face of the Internet. I didn't do anything about it for a week hoping it was just a small problem which would have been fixed, but then, it's taken quite a while now. I'm still trying to figure out what happened to them. No luck, so far. I had to settle for a free host, at the moment. Enter JamRoll. Great plan. And looking good so far. Quick responses to support questions and such. This should last for a long time, hopefully :) As for transferring files, I haven't uploaded all the archives yet. Working on it. Working on it. Also, I won't be setting up the GD Wiki here until I can be a little less lazy to actively update it.
Yeah, yeah, updates. You haven't seen any in about two months now. Well, I dropped out of the 4E4 Contest as I was unable to beat/meet the deadline. The winners have been announced (and yes, lots of prizes). The entries were brilliant. You should take some time to try them out. Still talking about competitions, I came across NaNoWriMo. Pretty interesting. I've written just over 2000 words so far. I don't think I'll be making 50,000, but I think it's worth trying. I haven't written any thing close to an essay since my final exams in secondary school.
Then there's work. Getting stuff done. Coding. PHP. Madness. Learning new tricks. Reading up. GD. Neat. Well, you get the idea. Oh, and I have successfully managed to implement image verification. Nothing special, really. But, it's good to know how to do that stuff. I've also been working on a personal project which I plan to roll out by the end of this year. It's classified.
The Microsoft Visual Studio Express Editions are available for free! I know, I know. It's old news. Welcome to "x" years ago where x is an integer. Everyone is aware, but, meh! It's such a good thing it's worth repeating. I'm currently downloading Visual C++ and Visual C#. That's sweet.
Finally, everyone should go see Serenity. That's a very good movie. I cannot overemphasise this point. Serenity is a very good movie.
