Mount & Blade

Mount & Blade is a very interesting indie role-playing game (RPG). For someone who isn't really into the RPG genre, it's got to be quite something, no? Well, what I actually like very much about the game is the approach to the combat system. It's not entirely based on stats. Instead, you take a more active role in combat, dodging attacks and striking blows. There isn't much else to it, but it's still in beta, so maybe it'll have more to offer in future releases. It's definitely worth checking out.In other news, I got a chance to take a look at/make use of SQL Server Express 2005 and SQL Server Management Studio Express (awkward name), and I must say, pretty neat stuff. Also, theoretically, deploying SQL Server Express for clients is a piece o' cake. It's rather nice that Microsoft is offering these packages for free. Speaking of DBMSs, I should look into MySQL 5, what with the introduction of stored procedures and triggers, I'd like to see what the fuss is all about :)
I am contemplating compiling a list of DVD movies that I intend to acquire; more like a collection, sort of.
