SimpleIRC now available from the Ovi Store!
It took only 3 years*, but it's finally there! SimpleIRC is available for purchase from the Ovi Store at €5 or $4.99. If you're interested in buying, here's the store link.
If you want to try it out first, there's a 3-day demo available on GetJar or the forums. I'm open to suggestions and general feedback so feel free to post these on the forums as well.

Hi, I’m just curious – how many people bought your application? Is it possible to live from Ovi Store?

Yeah, please provide your initial thoughts about sales. I know it is early, and not really indicative of how things will be, but a lot of developers are wondering if the high costs of putting apps to the Ovi store can be recovered by sales.

Well, I’d have to say that initial sales haven’t been very encouraging. Things were looking up the first week but after that, the numbers dropped. I’m guessing it probably has to do with a lack of publicity which I’m currently working on.
So based on my experience, I wouldn’t say it is possible to “live” from Ovi Store just yet, although I plan on releasing more software in the future.
I will be making a blog post about this in about a couple of months so I can give a clearer picture.
